Question about laundry detergent for the LG steamwasher?

We just purchased the cherry red LG steamwasher and dryer today and I was wondering if this is a washer you have to use HE laundry detergent with. Does anyone know? What's the difference? What will happen if you don't use it and just use regular tide?

I just bought an LG I love it, you must use HE detergent if you don't and use a regular detergent you can void your warranty, the HE detergent doesn't make suds and you use a lot less. enjoy!!!!!
